1on1 Piano is an Austin-based startup with an app and platform built specifically for online piano teaching. I work under the Head of Marketing on content and brand strategy, producing and editing short-form video for social media, writing SEO blog posts via WordPress, helping build out their Ambassador Program, and running direct outreach to piano teachers.

On the work: A big part of my role has been learning how to market a product that solves a recurring problem with online music teaching and learning. Most online piano lessons have a lot of friction that general video call tools weren't designed for. That meant getting familiar with what the platform actually does, then figuring out how to communicate those features clearly to teachers and students who might be skeptical of online lessons in the first place. Working on that messaging (cross video, written content, and social) has pushed me to think more carefully about audience, positioning, and how to make a product feel worth trying.
